Sinopsis

Part 5 dari seri JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure kini mengambil latar di kota Napoli, Italia pada tahun 2001. Walaupun terkenal dengan panorama yang indah, kota ini ternyata dipenuhi oleh para kriminal yang mengganggu kehidupan warganya. Salah satu pelakunya adalah Giorno Giovanna yang ternyata adalah anak dari DIO Brando, sang vampir yang dulu telah dibunuh oleh Jotaro di Mesir. Di balik tindak kriminal kecil-kecilan yang dilakoninya, ia ternyata memiliki mimpi untuk memperbaiki kehidupan di kota Napoli dengan menjadi mafia nomor satu Italia alias Gang-Star. Ia akhirnya bertemu dengan Bruno Bucciarti, seorang anggota mafia dari kelompok Passione yang ditugaskan untuk mencari salah satu anggotanya yang tiba-tiba menghilang.

Konon ada ungkapan yang mengatakan “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure part ganjil memiliki cerita dan karakter utama yang terasa ‘serius’, sedangkan part genapnya memiliki cerita dan karakter yang sedikit lebih ‘santai'”. Itulah yang terasa di JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind ini yang menghadirkan Giorno Giovanna sebagai karakter utamanya. Kontras dengan kostumnya yang begitu berwarna dan stylish, sosok Giorno digambarkan begitu “abu-abu” dengan karakternya yang sedingin sosok DIO sang ayah. Begitupun dengan nuansa kota Napoli yang digambarkan begitu suram dengan segala tindak kriminalnya dibalik penggunaan warna cerah yang kini terasa sedikit lebih realistis dibanding part sebelumnya.

Menyaksikan JoJo’s Part 5 serasa seperti menonton kisah drama kriminal yang disajikan dengan gaya khas serial JoJo, seperti para karakter dengan kostum super fashionable dan aksi pertarungannya yang begitu lebay namun asik. Episode pertamanya masih belum mengenalkan banyak hal selain sosok Giorno dan stand-nya, Gold Experience (diambil dari judul album musisi legendaris Prince), plus Bruno Bucciarti yang tampaknya akan menjadi tandemnya. Menyambung benang merah dari cerita part sebelumnya, Koichi dan Jotaro masih muncul di sini. Bagi yang penasaran dengan para karakter lain (serta kekuatan standnya) dari komplotan mafia Passione, tampaknya Anda harus sabar menantikan episode selanjutnya dari JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

Ah, bagaimana dengan lagu tema anime ini? Boleh dibilang lagu di anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind yang baru muncul di episode kedua (sudah dirilis ketika panduan ini ditulis) berhasil menghadirkan nuansa glamor lewat lagu pembuka yang kini dinyanyikan oleh Coda dan lagu RnB era 90-an dari grup Jodeci berjudul “Freek’n You” yang menjadi lagu penutupnya (meskipun awalnya saya menebak lagu “Gold” yang dinyanyikan oleh Prince akan menjadi lagu penutupnya).
